Biggin Hill currently has over 6000 charter movements a year (2009) and is a huge training base for the 5 flying schools and clubs now based at the airport. The airport has been used as a filming location for a selection of Battle of Britain memorial films and also featured in ‘The Da Vinci Code’. Finally, runway 11/29 is also found on the back of a Pink Floyd album.
